“We come together as a tribe,
to share our practice,
to share our journey,
to connect with ourselves,
and with one another.”
In this workshop, we will dive deep in the body for two days of movement -- flesh, blood and bone. Then, we will sink further into the inescapable, inevitable, and enduring heart for two days of emotional movement and awareness. Two days Waves; two days Heartbeat. Six teachers join together to collaborate and collectively guide your journey.
Teacher Certification: 2-days Waves; 2-days Heartbeat
Ramblewood is a rural camp and retreat center in northeast Maryland near historic Havre de Grace and adjacent the Susquehanna River. The camp is less than a 3-hour drive from New York City and less than 2 hours from Washington DC. Ramblewood features a large indoor dance hall with sprung floor, swimming pool, pond with canoes, and miles of hiking trails. The Ramblewood dining hall and kitchen serve healthy, balanced meals and can accommodate any dietary restrictions.
Dancers traveling by air are recommended to use the Philadelphia International Airport.
For more information see the Ramblewood website.
During this workshop, you'll stay in the cabins at Camp Ramblewood. Ramblewood features dormitory-style cabins and a limited number of private-room cabins with two twin beds and shared baths. All beds include Tempur-Pedic memory foam mattresses.
All cabins are open air and all baths include hot water showers. Temperatures in Maryland in September are quite comfortable, ranging from 56° to 78° F (13° to 26° C) daily. Attendees are responsible for providing their own linens (bed sheets, pillows, blankets, and bath towels).
You can specify your cabin preference (dormitory or private room) when you register.
