** For reasons you will be aware of, we have suspended all public events but will instead be offering on-line classes and community connection moments during the coming time.
Stay tuned to dancingTao.net or our Facebook group and stay healthy! **
A few important practical notes, please read if you are planning to attend:
Doors open from 6.45 and the class starts at 7.15 prompt. Strictly no admittance after 7.30pm.
Please note the earlier start time than we had at St Peter's.
Costs will be on a sliding scale as for all our events.
£18 / £15 / £12 / £10 according to means. Your generosity helps us to make the dance available to as many people as possible.
You can book in advance
and there will be some limited places available on the door on a first-come-first-served basis.
We will be offering some bursaries by application; please be in contact if you are a committed dancer and genuinely unable to pay the concession price.
Ground Rules: We request a respectful attitude towards yourself, all others and the space. Please be there for the start of the class and stay till the end. Please ensure that all devices are switched off. Please keep tops on and underwear covered. Other than the teaching, there is no talking on the dancefloor. Thank you!
The floor is wooden and beautiful, but old and a little patchy in places. If you are concerned about splinters, feel free to dance in soft-soled shoes (dance or indoor shoes only please) or bring dancers' tape for your feet.
There is no space for bicycles in the new church and we cannot lock them to the railings outside. If you travel by bike, nice one, but please lock it in the nearby streets in a suitable spot.
Please pass on this info to anyone you bring to the class as a newcomer, thanks!
