DESCRIPTION

Dancing is a form of expression, and we all have our relationship with it. Some of us can’t live without it, some of us like it occasionally and some will stay away from it no matter what.
Growing up we all danced. As kids most of us, had lots of freedom to be silly, preform or just play. But as we grow up, dance changes and becomes a social event. We dress up to go dance. Dance MUST be beautiful, charming, fashionable and of course sexy. For some it will be rebellious and wild, for some a way to avoid talking. For most of us, dance becomes a performance and fails to be an expression of freedom. Like with anything else in life. We hold on to what is comfortable and try to stay away of what feels unsafe.
So just when spring is knocking at the door, let’s try to imitate nature and let the “new” and “unsafe” find its way through the surface and sprout.
In those 2 days of 5rhythms, we will look for new shapes of moving. We will try to find within ourselves the seeds of what we never dared to express, water them softly, hold on to faith
and patience, waiting for the seeds to germinate.

NOTES

This workshop is open and intended for beginners and advance 5rhythms dancers.
The workshop will be guided in English, with some translation if needed.
Workshop hours are :
5.4.25 – 14:00 – 18:30 with a short break for lunch
6.4.25 - 11: 30 – 17:30 with a break for lunch

A Gabrielle Roth 5Rhythms Waves workshop is the foundation of the entire body of 5Rhythms work in which we expand our class work with a deepened physical expression and knowledge of the essential 5Rhythms and their polarities.
PREREQUISITES: No prerequisites required.
