Belonging is our birth right.
But early in life, many of us received the message that some aspects of ourselves are unwanted, unwelcome or unworthy of belonging. So we begin to hide or exaggerate, shun or prioritise these different aspects of ourselves.
In this workshop, we’ll explore the many dimensions of belonging:
To our bodies.
To our families.
To our cultures.
To our stories, our suffering, and our resilience.
We will also embody, explore & express our own obstacles to belonging; the parts of ourselves who were once our strategies for "fitting in" and have now become a glass ceiling to living in a way that allows all of us to feel seen and accepted.
This workshop is grounded in the rich & fertile foundations of two transformative practices: the model of Internal Family Systems, and the map of the 5Rhythms.
Flowing invites us into intuition and authenticity—how we belong to movement itself.
Staccato calls us into connection—how we belong in relationship with others.
Chaos welcomes our wild, untamed nature—how even the mess belongs.
Lyrical opens the door to our creativity and imagination—how we belong to what we dream.
Stillness holds the mystery, compassion, and spaciousness—how we belong to what cannot be named.
