When I discovered 5 Rhythms in 2006, it was the first time I ever felt at home. Born and raised in Detroit, then living for nearly a decade in Colombia, I was used to being with intensity. But in the space of 5Rhythms was the first time that I've really been able to experience the intensity of life- pain, joy and all of my emotions and really stay connected to my body. I've worked for more than a decade with shamanic healing practices and plant medicines in the Amazon and these teachings have profoundly shaped my world view (even now as I'm a mother of 2 very little children in Australia) Every dance is an opportunity for transformation- every moment that we allow ourselves to really feel, and stay moving, that's where the healing happens!
