An exploration in befriending the power of vulnerability through the 5Rhythms® Heartbeat map.
”If we want to reclaim the essential emotional part of our lives and reignite our passion and purpose, we have to learn how to own and engage with our vulnerability and how to feel the emotions that come with it.” Brené Brown.
We face emotional exposure wherever we are in our lives, in a new relationship, an important meeting, our creative process or in a difficult family conversation.
Exposure includes a degree of vulnerability. During these dancing days together we will practice the power of vulnerability through our courage, engagement and willingness to show up and bring attention to our emotional landscape (fear, anger, sorrow, joy and compassion) to be explored, felt, seen and befriended.
The 5Rhythms® Heartbeat map is an embodied emotional practice through the movement language of our own bones, breath and muscles.
We will invite trust and compassion to ourselves and each other. With the support of curiosity we will bring awareness to areas where we might have physical and emotional armor, which keeps us from being in our power of vulnerability and the wholehearted authentic human being that we all are.

WORKSHOP LEVEL DETAILS
In Heartbeat we explore our emotions as energy, as power, as part of being human. Old feelings that have been locked in our limbs or caged in our chest begin to shake loose. We get comfortable with feelings, neither hanging onto them nor pushing them away.
