The 5Rhythms® moving meditation teaches mindful awareness of the body. Dancing the shadows invites us to open the gateway to the heart. It is here that we have an opportunity to explore what closes and opens our emotional states.
We will learn how to track energy, where it gets stuck and where it moves, expanding our capacity to sustain present time awareness with all that is.
Light and shadow work identifies how to transform the stuck energies. The study of polarities has the ability to bring great insight. In Flowing, we meet our inertia and transform it into the power of fluid momentum. In Staccato, we transform control and tension into release and action. In Chaos, we face confusion and uncertainty practicing our ability to let go and surrender. In Lyrical, we work with changing distraction into focus and in Stillness, we meet numbness and transform it into connection.
If we do not embrace these energies with full awareness, they often act to sabotage rather than empower us. By embracing the light and shadow of each rhythm, one can better navigate the inner and outer terrain of our emotional and energetic states. This is a practice that views all states of being as pure creative energy. We approach and investigate with an attitude of non-duality, non-judgment and kindness.

We will send you a Zoom link to the workshop the two days before it begins. Please download Zoom prior to the start of the workshop.
When you link into our Zoom class, you will be in a "waiting room" until our host admits you. The waiting room screen indicates that you are in the right place.
This workshop starts at 9:30 am PT (Pacific Time) on Saturday. We will begin admitting people five minutes prior to the session. Please arrive promptly. It is important that you attend the full session. If you are more than twenty minutes late, we would prefer you to use the recorded session after.
Your microphone will be set to mute. Please do not unmute yourself as it creates a major disturbance for all participants.
