5Rhythms® is a dynamic movement meditation practice – a mapfor awakening and embodying our creative capacity to meet all that movesthrough us. There are no steps to follow in this improvisational movementmethodology. Instead, we show up, tune in and move what is alive in us, as wedance a Wave of the 5Rhythms (Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness).These qualities of movement mirror the way energy moves and changes in theworld. We begin slow and gentle, let our movements become more vigorous as webuild to a peak of release, then we follow the ripples of our dance until itsettles into a still and meditative place.
In this workshop, we will let the 5Rhythms Wave inspire andhold our practice of letting go. Together we will dance, sweat, and cultivateour capacity to tap into the deeper currents of life that are available to us,when we surrender to our body’s wisdom. Every body, and all movement experienceis welcome.
