«ROADS»
Led by Thierry Francois
"There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting."
Buddha
"Roads" is an exploration of the self in motion, through the 5Rhythms practice and Gestalt psychotherapy. Open to anyone that is willing to ride the path of presence, centering and body connection.
Gestalt (psychotherapy) and the 5Rhythms practice are two life philosophies that understand each other very well. Both the 5Rhythms practice and Gestalt therapy work with the philosophy that change results from acceptance of what is, helping us to learn to become more self-aware and to accept and trust in our feelings and experiences.
Gestalt therapy gives us the opportunity to observe the process of what is going on in the moment without trying to analyse or change it. Instead it is encouraged to find a way to adapt to what is going on using creative techniques to enhance awareness, freedom, and self-direction.
The 5Rhythms practice uses the dance as a metaphor for our life experiences. Through the different Rhythms, energies and ways of being, we are invited to experience everything and anything that comes our way in our dance and in our lives - our fluidity, our clarity, to loose ourselves in our dance, to get to know "the bearable lightness of being“ and to feel our inner calm.
As the process unfolds in the here and now, we move as we investigate, searching, experiencing together as a group, as individuals in the group and as one whole. On this journey together as a group some of us may be in the middle of the road, some at the crossroads, some on rocky or shaky roads, some are going up hill, some going down, but wherever we are we give support to each other.
