Honouring the ancient Fire Festival of the Celtic Tribes, we will in our own way dance and celebrate the turning of the wheel towards the winter.
Samhain (know today as Halloween) was considered to be the end of the old year and the beginning of the new. A time when the veils between the worlds are thin, a time to reflect and give thanks.
We will take in the qualities of this time of year out in the woods, dance on the land and in a wood heated yurt, hold ritual the thatched house of the ancestors.
Join us to welcome the warmth of community, the spirit of the times, the dance of our hearts and the love we have for our lives.
"Just as the ancients danced to call upon the spirits in nature, we too can dance to find the spirits within ourselves that have been long buried and forgotten." ~ Anna Halprin
Wildways is a wonderful retreat centre in Shropshire, in touch with the land and away from the bustle of everyday life. We will share dormitory accommodation (or camp), eat together and commune with the spirits who dance through the changes and the wheel of the year.
