The heartbeat map of the 5 rhythms takes us through the landscapes of our hearts. It invites us to feel the basic emotions of fear, anger, grief, joy and compassion - and to let ourselves be moved by them.
As young children, we all have the gift of expressing our feelings uncensored. Our hearts are open. The open heart, however, is vulnerable. In the course of our lives, in order to protect ourselves, we have learned to suppress emotions, to control ourselves and, more or less strongly, to let our heads rule. We built walls.
The shadow of this acquired ability lies in limiting our liveliness.
In order to reopen our feeling heart, it takes courage and willingness to feel all feelings, whether unpleasant or unpleasant. To be able to open up and close oneself to the right extent will make it possible to liberate our heart and find more of the child's spontaneity and expressiveness.
In the dance, we build stone by stone of our walls by dancing, exploring how these emotions move in our bodies, how they support us, how we feel them, how they express and release them.
We allow more and more that our hearts move us.
"When we free the body, the heart opens. When the body and the heart taste the freedom, the mind will not be far behind. And when we move the psyche, it will make an effort to heal itself. "Gabrielle Roth
