Grief & Gratitude

Chicago - 24 Jul 2026 to 26 Jul 2026
Lucia Horan

“Grief and love are sisters, woven together from the beginning. Their kinship reminds us that there is no love that does not contain loss and no loss that is not a reminder of the love we carry for what we once held close.” Francis Weller

Through the 5Rhythms ritual dance meditation and trauma sensitive mindfulness, you will be guided into the territory of the heart. This retreat is an opportunity to tend to the unattended. We invite you into a circle of safety to hold together what is too big to held alone. This process is called Grief-Wellness.

The Heartbeat Map is one that provides a structure to both understand and transform emotional states of being. We will investigate the dynamic relationship grief has to fear, courage, anger, forgiveness, joy and compassion.

Lucia has spent her life dedicated to understanding the nature of the heart. Her specialized work around grief-wellness is rooted in a lifetime of personal development and study. She comes to share this with you from a place of love as an investment in liberation and compassion. We hope to see you there!

Prerequisite: A minimum of 15 5Rhythms® Waves hours is required to attend

this workshop.

This workshop counts as 15 hours or 3 days of credit towards the 5Rhythms® Teachers Training prerequisites.

CYCLES

Lawrence - 29 Jul 2026 to 2 Aug 2026
Laura Martin-Eagle

I have always been drawn to the stories, artwork and holy scriptures describing the mystical wheel of life and death. I’ve paid attention to my inner stories, dreams and memories of lifetime after lifetime within my bones and have noticed how much of our struggles are carried generation to generation veiled as our own personal wounds.

Embodying our ancestral legacy in CYCLES invites us to celebrate what enriches our soul while releasing with compassion what no longer serves.

Dancing in the chaotic soup of our ancestors: their prayers, their lies, their secrets, their joys- we can emerge with the lightness of clarity that sheds the ancient ties that hold us back and create the space for both freedom and mystery to ignite our present moment.

I am honored to hold the Cycles map as we dance with the mysteries of this wild wheel of life!

"Life is a journey. Its route is essentially the same for everyone, even though we start in different settings and with different baggage." -- Gabrielle Roth

In this Cycles workshop we unlock the trunks that hold our memories, our ancestor’s dreams, the beliefs and disbeliefs of those that walked before us be it in our blood or in our home. From our conception to our death, we will sort through the mysteries within our trunks of treasures to meet with grounded bodies, tended hearts and open minds, what may have been stored and hidden for generations.
