5Rhythms Teacher in Training
My name is Marita Steffe, I am a 5Rhythms® teacher-in-training based in Aachen, Germany. I grew up in Germany and spent 35 years in the San Francisco area, where my husband and I raised two children and managed several businesses. Life was full until, 16 years ago, it fell apart. During that time, I was invited to a Sunday Wave in Sausalito. I went without expectations, and something magical happened. Through dance, I began to let go. Movement helped me to trust life again and flow with whatever came my way. 5Rhythms awakened my self-expression and playfulness. I started painting and writing, rediscovering parts of myself I had forgotten. The practice is teaching me self-love, awareness, and compassion. I love this moving meditation because it brings joy and aliveness. After dancing, people often say they feel more inspired and connected, to themselves and to each other. That transformation touches me every time. As I grow older, caring for body, mind, and soul feels essential. 5Rhythms keeps me embodied, balanced, and resilient. My teaching style is playful, creative, and inclusive. Everyone is welcome, whatever your age, background, body-shape, or life situation. I am grateful to walk this path of movement, growth, and community with YOU. I am currently a teacher-in-training, mentored by Ajay Rajani and Nikki Ashley
