GOOD MEDICINE

A 5RHYTHMS® DANCE | MOVEMENT WORKSHOP WITH ANNE MARIE HOGYA

Like good medicine, what if we offer ourselves exquisite care?

What if we learn to make choices that sustain us, groove patterns that honour us, and live lives that become the very remedy we need?

We can.

Here, we’ll tend to our bodies with compassion, move together as a community, and mix up a cauldron of connection with ourselves and each other.

Let’s summon our deep, wise, life-affirming medicine.

This dance workshop is for anyone who wants to explore their own innate wisdom, no experience required. The movement tools, techniques and inspiration you learn here can be immediately applied to daily life. Designed for adults of every age and ability.

Anne Marie has a fierce commitment to truth seeking and a passion for creating workshops that mix the practical with the wildly creative. She is known for her no-nonsense speaking combined with a relentless sense of humour, compassion and courage. Anne Marie is a DJ, a registered therapist, and studied and trained with 5Rhythms® founder Gabrielle Roth. She has been teaching movement for two decades and is accredited to teach both Wave and Heartbeat maps of the 5Rhythms practice. She lives in Victoria, Canada and teaches at home and internationally. www.annemariehogya.com

BRAVE: Waves & Heartbeat

Vancouver - 21 Feb 2025 to 23 Feb 2025
Bettina Rothe - Anne Marie Hogya

Sometimes it is challenging to find a forward momentum in life. We might feel stuck, have doubts about where we are going, or feel confused by all the available choices.

How do we find clarity and bravery for our next steps?

Bravery and courage are intertwined, maybe two sides of the same coin — and often on the other side, lies fear. So, this means to know bravery, we need to meet our fears and shine light on what lies beneath. Anxiety and distress are common when ‘braving’.

In this 5Rhythms® Waves and Heartbeat workshop we will explore the physical and emotional terrain of our brave. Embodiment practices, a wooden sword ritual, as well as opportunities for speaking up will be part of this empowering weekend.

Together we will explore how to increase our tolerance and receptivity for bravery.

When we open ourselves to new possibilities of being and relating in the world we can take one brave step at a time and see where they take us.

All are welcome. No previous experience is required.

This workshop counts for 10 Waves hours and 5 Heartbeat hours for the 5Rhythms teacher training path.

Bettina Rothe and Anne Marie Hogya met in 2000 in Marin, California during a month-long immersion with 5Rhythms founder, Gabrielle Roth. It was the start of a deep friendship that has lasted decades. Both Bettina and Anne Marie studied and trained with Gabrielle and 5Rhythms faculty and are accredited to teach the physical (Waves) map of the 5Rhythms. Anne Marie is also accredited to teach the emotional (Heartbeat) 5Rhythms map. Both teachers have been offering their work worldwide for many years and have a wealth of knowledge to share.
