Set your Intention. Be bold.
In this class we will dance our way through the power of intention as individual, with community, and the world, supporting each other to be true to ourselves, sharing the energy that we all have, to build moments of sincere connections between the inside and the outside, with respect, trust and love for each other, opening and embracing our emotions freely expressed in our dance.
5Rhythms is a process, a sequence of sounds and movements that starts with Flowing, the discovery and deepening of ourselves, the embodiment of what is truly inside our system. Through the Heartbeat map we will face the Fear that might arise when we discover the new and the unexplored, and the depth of our essence.
And so determination and the outward expression of Staccato, the building up of fire and the passion it will be embraced through the powerful emotion of Anger.
Chaos breaks all patterns and the uncontrolled physical release will facilitate the release of our grief and Sadness and the removal of hidden obstacles.
Then in Lyrical, with renewed clarity and the uplifting realization of our lightness of being, we will be able to share and celebrate true Joy.
To finally land in Stillness where breath and silence will be the perfect completion of our emotional journey, arriving at our destination with the clarity of our unique intention, embracing Compassion, for others and for ourselves.
Vehllia Tranne and Alessandro Moruzzi, Certified 5Rhythms Teachers Accredited by the 5RTA for Waves and Heartbeat level, Founders of The City Waves™ in San Francisco, offer weekly 5Rhythms classes and regular workshops in San Francisco and globally since 2014. They have many years of experience in 5Rhythms, dance, music, theater, performance, healing, trauma-sensitive, mindfulness, somatic embodiment, spiritual practices and shamanism. They always draw their inspiration from nature, deeply connected to their ancestors, offering heartfelt intuitively crafted experience and support for each dancer, their empowering presence, holding a safe and brave space creating transformational space for all.
Vehllia and Alessandro playfully and in full commitment to the practice, bring the unique side of themselves together, facing each other, standing side by side, back to back, close or far away, constantly giving and receiving. Extremely different, unique and yet complementary and united. Stimulating and inspiring each other and sharing their ecstatic joy for life with everyone else they encounter on their path. Dancing their life journey in an ever changing dynamic Equilibrium.
