5Rhythms in Nature with Jenny Fahy.
Rain, hail or shine, the local beech woods is an ideal place to host us, held beneath the canopy of the beech trees.
Silent-disco type headsets provided.
Dance is from 10.30am to 12pm.
Jenny will facilitate the dance space. Everyone gets their own headset, and Jenny communicates with you all through the headsets.
It will be an innovative, fun, creative, exploration of the mind and body in Nature.
You will be invited to explore what it is like to follow your own body, your own feet, your own movement, your own instincts.
The 5Rhythms is a creative, free yet disciplined practice, that will take you out of your head and into your body.
Healing, connecting, awakening, increasing your self-awareness. Your body if it is given the opportunity and space, will know what it needs and how it wants to dance.
Jenny has been moving with this practice for the past 24 years. She found her way into a class in Galway in June 2000 and she trained with the founder, Gabrielle Roth and The Moving Centre in 2007.
She continues to dance regularly for her own enjoyment and exploration. She holds a monthly class in Dance Limerick studio.
She lives in Cloughjordan with her family. She is also a Creative Studies and Community Mental Health lecturer in Applied Social Studies in Carlow College and is very experienced in holding groups.
