Heartbeat practice is a gateway to our emotional world which we dive into with the instincts of a dancer, the mindfulness of a meditator, the courage of a warrior, and the compassion of a best friend.
In this work we don’t solve our feelings as if they were problems, rather we explore our emotions as energy, as power, as part of being human. Through physical movement and awareness, old feelings that have been locked in our limbs or caged in our chest begin to shake loose; we give ourselves space and time to consciously embody them and allow them to move as waves of energy through our body . As we get comfortable with our vulnerability and feelings, neither hanging onto them nor pushing them away, we discover a treasure (in the) chest, which, once unlocked, offers a world rich with opportunities: a real connection with ourselves and others, a freshness of response, a spontaneity seasoned with wisdom and experience, and above all, a freedom to fully become a loving force of life itself.
