In this workshop, we will dance with our ancestry which live in our heart, soul, collective memory, and DNA. We will call on the wisdom and medicine of our lineage, the power of ancestral lands, and the spirit of the animal clans to guide our dance on this journey. We will beckon our bloodlines and sacred guides to help navigate a magical ancestral journey, weaving the 5Rhythms with our ancestral lineage. Together, we will acknowledge, give thanks, and embody forgiveness and healing for ourselves, our ancestors, and the land. We’ll honor and celebrate by moving our bones, blood, and bodies - gifts from our ancestors. ~~~ Waves & Wakes: Dancing with Ancestors A 5Rhythms weekend led by Sylvie Minot Location: CLARA AUDITORIUM 1425 24th Street Sacramento, CA 95816 Dates/Times: Fri 3/27: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Sat 3/28: 11:00 am - 6:00 pm Sun 3/29: 11:00 am - 6:00 pm Tuition: Cost: $325 by February 8th, $400 after. In this workshop we turn toward the simple, essential truth, that we are already whole. Through the map of the 5Rhythms®, movement becomes a way to remember, not to perfect or perform, but to return to the body’s innate intelligence. When we surrender to the body’s wisdom , letting breath, rhythm, and instinct loosen the habits that fragment us we open the pathways that reconnect us to our original aliveness.
Throughout the day we’ll weave dance with, embodied inquiry, & journaling amongst the grounding presence of community. Together we’ll explore the places where we feel divided or uncertain, and tap into the deeper current beneath them that is steady, resourceful, and wise. “Wholeness” is an invitation to come home to yourself: to stand in your center, to feel your full range, and to be witnessed in the beauty of your own integrated presence.
Prerequisite: None. All workshop hours contribute to 5Rhythms® Teacher Training prerequisites.
